The Plague Diaries - Robert Maltby

I am a trained artist, illustrator and writer who has found work difficult since leaving university, causing me to work in various warehouse positions since graduating. Since the start of this pandemic, I have been listed as an essential worker, and as such have been forced to continue employment despite worries about my safety, and the practicalities of travel to and from work being made infinitely more taxing.

Throughout this time I have continued to keep a series of, what I call, Plague Diaries, outlining more esoteric thoughts pertaining to this situation.

It goes to show some of what I feel about being an essential worker, my experiences, my role within society and the impact it has had on my creativity.
