Review: Borus in the Basement w/ Harrison BDP
Distilled Music, one of Bristol’s finest house and techno crews, have embarked on a new series of club nights exploring artists who have inspired their musical tastes over the past few years.
The first edition in the series saw Welsh house producer and DJ Harrison BDP grace the decks of the Crofter’s Rights for two hours of deep and groovy goodness.
Fresh off the back of the luscious four track EP ‘Sweet Dreams’ on Haŵs Records, Harrison BDP has been releasing an almost constant stream of top rate records for the last few years. Winner of DJ Mag’s 2018 Breakthrough Producer of the Year, he’s also a maestro behind the decks with a string of international bookings over the last 12 months.
Seeing an artist of such calibre in the intimate setting of the Crofter’s Rights was a treat for the packed out crowd. The laid back and personal setting was the perfect accompaniment to the soothingly sub heavy house played by both Harrison BDP and support act Borus.
An excellent night of world class house, ‘Borus in the Basement w/ Harrison BDP’ was the perfect first chapter in Distilled’s new club night series. Keep your eyes open for what’s coming next.
