Hello! I am a graphic artist & illustrator based in Bristol. After graduating from the University of the West of England studying Illustration, I'm now based at my studio at Deben House, on Lawerence Hill. I throughly enjoy creating illustrations based on varying locations and designing book cover designs.
These first three images are of Portwall Tavern, The Playground Cafe and the Milk Thistle. They were done whilst working on a project that focused on independent cafes and bars in Bristol that I enjoy.
The two artworks above are ‘2000’s Apartments’ and the ‘Bristol Short Story Cover’. These two are actually from the same artwork. The artwork I created for the 2000s Apartments is used in the typography for the cover of the Bristol Short Story cover which has recently been published on the 12th Anthology this year. For this project, I was using the idea of having different colour schemes for different apartments - to show a different mood for each apartment.
The two artworks above are ‘Lava Caves’ and ‘The Land of Ice and Fire’. I produced a children's non-fiction book about the weird and wonderful elements of Iceland. These two were focusing on the landscapes of the fire and ice.
And, lastly, there is the artwork above which is the Murakami Book Cover. I really enjoy making book cover designs so for the Penguin Design Competition I created a design for Murakami's Norwegian Wood. For this project, I was inspired by one of the main motifs of the novel which is communicating via sending letters. I meshed this idea with the various locations which the main characters travel together to and put these locations on stamps. put onto stamps.
