Sweet & simple granola

Sweet and simple granola, perfect for those cold autumn mornings, with a splash of milk or creamy yoghurt. Toasted coconut, nuts and rich, dark chocolate… This recipe takes just 25 minutes, and will leave your home smelling sweet…

Ingredients

  • 300g rolled oats

  • 125ml golden syrup

  • 2 tbsp vegetable or sunflower oil

  • 75g mixed chopped nuts and seeds

  • 100g dark chocolate chips

  • 50g desiccated coconut

  • Pinch of cinnamon & salt

Recipe

1. Preheat your oven to 150º.

2. Add all your dry ingredients, besides the chocolate, into a large mixing bowl: rolled oats, coconut, nuts, seeds, cinnamon and salt.

3. Into the same bowl, pour the oil and golden syrup, then mix together well.

3. Lay the granola flat onto 1 or 2 trays and bake for 10 minutes.

4. After 10 minutes, take the granola out of the oven, give it a good stir and then put the tray back in for another 10 minutes.

5. Take your granola out of the oven, stir in your chocolate chips so they melt into the granola, or wait until your granola has fully cooled and add them later.
